MWCT Strategy
The Mount Wellington Charitable Trust Board is proud to publish the MWCT Strategy for 2026-2029.
MWCT undertook a number of community workshops to gather the thoughts of the community to inform the Strategy and ensure it reflected local aspirations.
The Strategy is based around the MWCT Purpose of "Community transformation through giving" and will be delivered through three Strategic Objectives:
Community Impact - granting that makes a sustainable difference (maintain awareness of local needs the impact of community organisations)
Connected Community - working together for collective benefit (maximise impact by partnering with initiatives and other funders)
Financial Stewardship - balancing investment and community returns (maintain the expertise to grow the asset base)
From the community workshops, a concise set of MWCT values has been established:
Kaitiakitanga - trusted custodians for tomorrow
Titiro whakamua - ambitious and future focussed
Manaakitanga - look out for each other and nurture our diverse community
The MWCT Strategy is deliberately tight and focussed - we intend to invest well to maximise the community asset we administer, grant to make real impact for residents of the MWLT area and choose careful partnerships to bring impact and investment to our community.
