MWCT September Granting Round Announcement

Mount Wellington Charitable Trust (MWCT) is delighted to announce the successful applicants to the September 2026 round of granting

This is the second round of granting since the change in business direction undertaken by Mount Wellington Licensing Trust (MWLT) in 2025.

Last year, MWLT sold previous accommodation and hospitality businesses to become an investment-driven community funder.

MWCT will return $720,000 to the community in each of the 2026 and 2027 financial years – this is over three times the highest amount previously given (from business returns, excluding gaming proceeds) in a year ($230,000 – 2019).

83 applications were received, and of these, 34 have been successful.

The next granting round will be open for applications from December to February, with outcomes known by the end of March 2027.
